YORK COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — Officials in York County had to help solve a portly predicament on Thursday night.
Around 7:15 p.m., officials said multiple lanes were closed at Old York Road due to a massive pig blocking the roadway.
Authorities were soon able to locate the owners of the animal.
However, this not-so-little piggy, named "Papa Pig," was so large that he broke his owners' trailer when they tried to bring him home.
In response, the York County Sheriff's Office brought in its Mounted Patrol unit's horse trailer to try to load the big boy up into it.
Shortly before 9 p.m., officials confirmed that Papa Pig had been apprehended within minutes by Mounted Patrol Commander Mark McCarter and was on his way home, thus bringing an end to this road hog's journey.
