MUNDY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Wind caused a grass fire to spread, threatening a Mundy Township residence.

The fire was reported just after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday on Baldwin Road between Fenton and Torrey Roads.

Mundy Township and Gaines Township Fire Departments responded and were able to control the blaze before it could cause damage to nearby buildings.

No one was injured in the blaze and fire crews stayed on scene to make sure there were no flare ups.

Heat and dry conditions in past week have prompted many municipalities to issue burn bans.
