Man in critical condition following shooting on I-75

According to Michigan State Police, a 29-year-old man was shot in the chest while driving southbound on I-75.

The shooting suspects were in another vehicle at the time.

Michigan State Police say the shooting was not random.

The man has a connection to Saginaw.

According to MSP, he was home for a funeral.

The man is currently in critical condition.

The shooting is still under investigation.

Miles of southbound I-75 were shut down for several hours in Saginaw County while the Michigan State Police investigated a shooting.

The expressway was shut down from the northern entrance to I-675 to the southern exit.

Buena Vista and Carrollton police were redirecting traffic onto southbound I-675 while the expressway was shut down for about three hours.

It happened after 1:30 this morning.

Police say the shooting was not fatal.
