SAGINAW, Mich. - Saginaw's annual Spring into Service kicked off Thursday.
Fourteen high schools helped with the community wide event.
The schools went to 10 different locations.
Volunteers helped with clean up at senior citizen and veterans’ homes, local parks, and non-profit organizations.
Early college student Cecilia Hopkins says she enjoyed the experience and loves giving back to her community.
"It makes me feel good, a lot of people are like ‘Sagnasty’. But I think Saginaw is beautiful, and just going around different places and volunteering and it makes me love living here,” said SVSU student Cecelia Hopkins.
More than 200 volunteers helped with the clean up this morning.
