SAGINAW, Mich. - A veterans’ open house and health fair was held at the Saginaw YMCA Wednesday.
This was in collaboration with the Aleda Lutz Medical Center.
Dozens of vendors and activities were available to veterans and their families, including screenings in a health expo.
"Our Y here in Saginaw being so close to the VA does a lot for our veterans. Not only do we have programs for veterans to get in, we actually work with the VA for them to come down to use our pool, MOVE programs. There's over 10,000 in the Great Lakes Bay Region, and we want to make sure they feel welcome here at the Saginaw Y,” said Doug Temple, Director of Membership and Marketing.
Also included in the support for veterans was a 2K walk and a nonperishable food drive.
