Rescue crews search for teen in Muskegon River


OSCEOLA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Crews will continue their search for a teen in the Muskegon River Friday morning.

Osceola County sheriff's deputies were called to a possible drowning around 5 p.m. Thursday. It happened near 50th Avenue Bridge just south of River Road in Sylvan Township.

Sheriff Justin Halladay says three teens, ages 14 to 16, fell through the ice. Two teens were able to make it back to shore, but crews are still searching for a 15-year-old boy.

Sheriff's deputies, Evart Fire & Rescue, Big Rapids Rescue/Drone Team, Osceola EMS and the Michigan State Police Dive Team are all helping.
