Overnight shooting leaves one dead in Flint

FLINT, Mich. – A man is dead following an overnight shooting in Flint, according to police.

The Flint Police Department reports the shooting happened at approximately 1 a.m. Friday in the 2000 block of Burns Street, just north of Davison Road on the city’s east side.

Police say they were sent to that location following reports of someone yelling about someone being dead.

The victim, an unknown male, was discovered dead inside the residence from a gunshot wound.

Following its discovery, the scene was processed by the Michigan State Police crime lab.

No suspect has been identified at this time and anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Detective Trooper Jon Miller at 810-237-6922.
