MIDLAND, Mich. - The lower level of the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library in Midland re-opened Tuesday one year after massive flooding.

Construction for the library's new youth services room is finished and they are ready to show it off.

Youth services will be hosting fun events for kids and families in the community.

"We found because this is such a large area, there were so many details to take care of that really the whole construction process, putting the plan together, was really much more than we thought and as I said we just kept working at it one day at a time until we got to the point where we knew we had done it and we were going to bring this back to the community,” said library director Melissa Barnard.

The renovations cost $400,000 which was paid for all through donations.
