The Fit Box in Fenton is teaming up with local police to offer an intense, 6-week, self-defense training.
The class is designed to prepare participants for each situation.
Officer Bill Baughman with the Mount Morris Police Department will be leading the training.
He said the purpose of the lengthy time frame is to help participants gain confidence in case they need the tools for a real-life scenario.
Officer Baughman said these sessions are for both men and women ages 14 and up.
The first class kicks off next Tuesday, April 2.
It is every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
