Group pushes MCC Millennials for voter registration ahead of Tuesday deadline

FLINT, Mich. - Tuesday is the last day to register to vote for the November election.

As a result, many organizations are making a last-minute push to get new voters registered.

Monday the Millennial-centered advocacy group Next Gen America was at Mott Community College.

Organizers tell us why it’s so important to get millennial and generation z voters registered.

“It is their opportunity to lead the way. They have the opportunity to change the trajectories leading the education and workforce model that they desire. being creative innovative and this is their way to rise right now,” said Kimberly Edmonds of Next Gen America.

Voters can register in person at their county, city or township clerk office.

They can also visit any secretary of state office.

Mail voter registration must be postmarked by Tuesday.
