GM: $79 million investment coming to Flint Assembly plant

FLINT, Mich. --General Motors officials announced that they are investing $79 million at the Flint Assembly plant for a new trim shop, according to a news release.

The trim shop will be located on the west side of the already-existing plant.

The investment covers the installation of new conveyors as well as improvements to the general assembly area.

General Motors has invested nearly $2 billion into the Flint Assembly plant since 2011.
