Four-month-old Flint child in critical following suspected abuse

FLINT, Mich. – Flint police are investigating a suspected case of child abuse involving a four-month-old girl.

The incident was reported to have occurred Thursday at approximately 2 p.m. in the 2000 block of Clement, near Dupont Street and Welch Boulevard on the city’s west side.

When the child was taken to a local hospital with multiple critical injuries consistent with child abuse, police were called to the scene.

Police did not release any other information on the incident other than to say an investigation is ongoing.
