FLINT, Mich. – A Flint man is facing 11 felony counts related to dog fighting and animal torture.
Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton’s office announced charges Tuesday against the 31-year-old man.
Those charges include five counts of animal fighting, four counts of possessing dog fighting equipment, one count of animal torture and one count of cruelty to between four and ten animals.
The prosecutor’s office says the dog fighting activity was discovered at a home on Ruth Street when police went to serve subpoenas as part of an upcoming homicide trial.
Leyton’s office says the man is to be arraigned soon in 67th District Court.
His name is not being released pending that arraignment.
