FLINT, Mich. – The fourth annual Teddy Bear Toss at the Flint Firebirds game was this past weekend.
Fans were encouraged to bring new or gently used teddy bears or stuffed animals to the game.
After the Firebirds score their first goal fans could throw them on the ice.
Those stuffed animals were donated to the Whaley Children's Center by the Flint Firebirds.
Some of the players also decorated gingerbread houses with a few of the children.
"It's a happy time of year and you want to give a smile on the kids’ faces for sure,” said Firebird C.J. Clarke.
Whaley Children's Center provides child care services to children who have suffered abuse and neglect.
