There is no dog like an old dog.

Unfortunately, senior dogs are at a huge disadvantage when they land in shelters as they are the toughest animals to adopt out.

Humane Society Director Ruth Cantor says while your time with a senior may be shorter, the benefits of opening your home to an older pet are many.
