BENZIE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- As the leaves continue to change throughout northern Michigan, a resort in Benzie County has a mountaintop view.

Crystal Mountain's Fall Color Chairlift Ride is underway in Thompsonville.

People have the opportunity to take a lift up 400 feet through the trees.

At the top, guests have a breath-taking view of all the colorful trees in Benzie, Manistee and Wexford counties.

"It's wonderful to see people celebrating northern Michigan safely, for one and the outdoors never closes," said Crystal Mountain Public Relations Director Sammie Lukaskiewicz. "So when you come out here, you have all this fresh air and lots of room to walk and play and just enjoy it all so at a time like this is just great to be a part of just fresh air and 1,500 acres."

The Fall Colors Chairlift Rides will continue to run Friday through Sunday until the end of October.

Chairlift rides cost $5 a person and child 8 and under are free.
