When spring hits, flowers often come to mind. But, you should probably wait before you go out and grab a bunch to plant.

Jenny B of Jenny B’s Garden Party in Clio says we need to put off planting until the temperatures are warmer longer, and there is less risk of frost. That can take us out into the end of May, here in Michigan.

That’s just one of many important pieces of advice she shares with us on our special spring edition of Community Wide.

If you are thinking a little more about spring cleaning than you are about flowers, Jenny offers up a great recipe for a natural cleaner: Three parts vinegar, one part water. If you can’t take that vinegar smell, throw in a few drops of lavender essential oil. It will give your house a fresh, clean, and spring-like smell, too.
